Amdor, Michael Book Fund | Each year the Law School Scholarship Committee shall select a 2nd year student to receive at least a $1000 stipend for the purchase of law text books. Candidates must demonstrate financial need, academic excellence and an expressed interest in public service law. |
Baird Holm Annual Scholarship | This annual gift, established in 2008 by the law firm Baird Holm LLP, assists a first year law student and is not renewable. Preference is extended to students from Nebraska or Iowa with financial need from a culturally or educationally disadvantaged background. |
Brooks, Margaret M Scholarship | In honor of her memory, this scholarship provides financial support to a female student with high academic standing and the need for assistance to continue her legal education. |
CU Law Student Bar Assoc Scholarship | This award is funded from gifts from the Student Bar Association and is given to students who have not received scholarship help in the past. One award goes to the student with the greatest percentage increase in QPA from the 2L to 3L year. The other award goes to the 3L student with the highest grade average. Neither award can be renewed. |
Campbell Endowed Scholarship | The Donald and Daphne Campbell endowment was established to provide scholarships to students in the School of Law who are of high academic standing and able to demonstrate the need for financial assistance. |
Carta, Sal & Mary Scholarship | This endowment supports a 2nd and/or 3rd year Law student who demonstrates financial need and whose academic rank places them in the top 1/3 of the class. |
Cosgrave, P James Memorial Scholarship | Initiated by his daughter, Joan, this award memorializes the late Nebraska attorney and judge. This award recognizes outstanding students based upon academic excellence, integrity, personal character and intellectual competence. |
Croker LLC Scholarship | Initially begun in 2008, this scholarship provides funding to a 2nd or 3rd year Law student who shows civic commitment and the need for financial support. It honors one of the sponsoring law firm's senior and founding members, Richard E. Croker, a 1957 graduate of the Law School. It is funded by the law firm of Croker, Huck, Kasher, DeWitt, Anderson & Gonderinger, LLC. |
Cudahy, Francis Scholarship | The Francis and Margaret Cudahy Family Scholarship is designed to assist a law student with theire legal education expenses. Preference is given to students from Nebraska or Iowa. Mr. Cudahy received his J.D. degree from Creighton in 1935 and many family members attended Creighton as well. |
Culhane, Marianne & Thomas Scholarship | This award is provided by Marianne and Thomas Culhane and is directed toward 2nd and/or 3rd year Law students with financial need. The Law School Scholarship Committee shall select recipient(s) annually. Ms. Culhane is the Dean of the School and her husband is a Creighton alum ('69 and '74) |
Daly, John F. & Anne Hanighen School of Law Scho | This scholarship was created from the estate of John F. Daly, PHB'38, JD'40, for needy students with high academic standing who are enrolled in the Law School. Scholarship awards may be renewed based upon academic progress and the availability of funds. |

Dwyer, Harry Kenneth Law Scholarship | This endowed scholarship recognizes an outstanding law student who shows excellence in the class room, promise in practice and the need for financial assistance. |
Edney, John & Mary Scholarship | An endowed scholarship account established over 20 years ago, it helps to support a law student with their legal educational costs. |
Fenner, Anne & G. MIchael Endowed Scholarship | Needy first year Law students who are of high academic standing shall be considered for this scholarship. Awards may be renewed based upon academic progress and available funds. |
Fitzgerald, James Scholarship | This endowed scholarship provides tuition assistance to a deserving student as selected by the Law School Scholarship Committee. |
Fraser Stryker Scholarship | This annual scholarship is funded by this local law firm and rewards the academic diligence of CU Law School students. |
Furnas, David Memorial Scholarship | Established by Mr & Mrs James Furnas, this endowed scholarship fund provides scholarship dor law students pursuing a carerr in Health Law who demonstrate excellence in the class room and have financial need. |
Galvin, Michael J. Jr. Scholarship | This endowed scholarship provides financial support to a law student in good academic standing and who has financial need. |
Gaskill, Leon Law Scholarship | This endowed scholarship assists a student in Creighton's School of Law with preference given to those who graduated from a Nebraska Catholic high school. |
Gaskins, Barb J. Scholarship | As a memorial to a past Law School faculty member and adminstrator, this endowed scholarship is granted to a first year student with an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln who has financial need and high academic credentials. It may be renewed based on the availability of funds and normal academic progression. |
Graff, Emil & Amelia Law Scholarship | Funded from a trust of the donors, this endowment provides scholarships to law students with outstanding academic credentials and financial need. |
Greene, Scott Law Scholarship | This endowment produces scholarship funds for a needy and academically qualified law student |
Grodinsky, William Scholarship | This endowment, funded by friends, colleagues and Mr. Grodinsky's estate, provides scholarships to deserving students with high academic credentials. It may be renewed upon the recommendation of the Law School Scholarship Committee. |

Hayan Public Service Law Schol | Provided by an annual gift from Lisa Andrus Hayan and Saro Hayan in honor of the excellent legal education she received while at Creighton, it rewards a third year student interested in pursuing a career in public service law. The recipient will have high academic standing and financial need and the annual award will be not less than $7500. A recommendation from a CU Law school faculty member is required. |
Henatsch, Harry R. Scholarship | Established by friends, family and the firm of Katskee & Henatsch, this scholarship honors a 1941 graduate. It is awarded to an outstanding student with high academics and personal integrity. |
Hottman, Megan M. Law Scholarship | First year Law students in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Preference shall be extended to African American female students. |
Iowa State Bar Review School Endowed Fund | Students who are in their third year of Law School and intend to take the Iowa Bar Examination shall be considered for this scholarship. The School of Law's faculty member responsible for oversight of bar examination preparation, in consultation with the School of Law admininstration, shall determine the eligible students and select the recipient. |
Kaplan, Yale Scholarship | This endowment provides schoalrships to students who are of high academic standing and able to demonstrate financial need so as to complete their legal education. |
Kellegher, Frank Scholarship | This endowment supports a scholarship for students interested in the subjects of estate planning and federal and local tax law. It may be renewed for additional years upon the approval of the Law School. |
Kinney, Jack & Virginia Endowed Scholarship | Law students with high academic standing and demonstrate financial need shall be considered for scholarship. First preference is for students from the Sioux City area. Awards may be renewed based upon academic progress and available funds. |
Korshoj Trust Scholarship Law | This scholarship recognizes and rewards an outstanding student who shows exceptional academic ability. |
Kroloff, Yale S Scholarship | This endowment provides financial support for an outstanding law student who has excelled in the class room and shows exceptional promise in the legal field. |
Labdoe, Evelyn E. Endowed Scholarship | This scholarship is for needy, first year Law students. First preference is to be given to African American students, then students who have a history of volunteer work and service to others. Awards may be renewable based upon academic progress and available funds. |
Lane Foundation Scholarship | A foundation, established in the names of Winthrop and Frances Lane, provides annual scholarships to several student each year. Candidates are reviewed based on academic achievement and financial need with finalists presented to the Scholarship Committee for approval. |
Law School Alumni Advisory Board Scholarship | Through various donations this annual scholarship is provided to an entering Law student who demonstrates financial need and high academic credentials. The School of Law Scholarship Committee shall select a recipient annually for this non-renewable award. |
Lillis, William & Kathleen Scholarship | This endowment provides scholarships to students in the School of Law who are of high academic standing and in need of financial assistance to continue theier education. |
Locher Law Firm Schol | The Locher Pavelka Dostal Braddy & Hammes, LLC Law Firm provides funds on an annual basis for students enrolled in either their 2nd or 3rd year who also have demonstrated high academic achievement and financial need. |
Lorge, Lena Scholarship (Law) | Funded from the estate of Mrs. Lorge, this endowed scholarship assists highly qualified students with high academic credentials and the potential for success in the legal field. |
Lynch, William P Scholarship | This endowment, established by his son in honor of a member of the School of Law's first graduating class in 1906, provides scholarships to students who are active in extracurricular endeavors and maintain good academic standing within the school. |
MEDICO Scholarship | Formerly known as the Mutual Protective scholarship, this endowed award is given to an outstanding student as determined by the Law School Scholarship Committee. |
MacDonald Law Scholarship | Established by Cole & Joan Macdonald to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary, this endowment supports an exceptionally talented academic student who also is in need of financial assistance. It may be renewed based upon the agreement of the School Scholarship Committee. |
McCarthy, Leo & Joy Scholarship | This endowed scholarship is for students who are of high academic standing and who have financial need. Each year, at least one award shall be given to a qualified student from each class level, depending on available funding and may be renewed for successive years. |
McCormick, Thomas & Ann Lowe Endowed Scholarship | This scholarship was created to assist needy students in the School of Law. Awards may be renewable based upon available funds and academic progress. |
McCullough, Brian Memorial Scholarship | Each year the Law School Scholarship Committee shall select a student for this endowed award who is of high academic standing. |
McGinn, Albert & Kathleen Memorial Scholaship | This endowed scholarship helps to support a financially needy and academcially well prepared student. Preference is given to those students from Council Bluffs, IA or from Southwest Iowa. |
McGrath North Scholarship | Endowed by the firm of McGrath North, this is a half tuition scholarship as selected by the School and confirmed by the firm. Current recipients can be eligible for continued support. |
McKee Voorhees & Sease PLC Scholarship | Established by this firm, the endowment provides scholarship funds for 2nd or 3rd year students exhibiting an interest in intellectual property law. |
Mid-America Corporate Counsel Scholarship | This annual gift is for a 2nd year student who exhibits strong character, superior academic potential and leadership and who plans a career in a corporate legal specialty. This award is not renewable. |
Montgomery Trust Law Scholarship | This endowed scholarship is awarded by the Law school based on academic potential and/or achievement. |
Muchemore Foundation Law Scholarship | Through the generosity of this foundation, significant awards are made to incoming Law students who graduated from a Nebraska high school and who have a final undergraduate GPA of at leat a 3.0 and have demonstrated financial need. Renewal of this award is contingent upon maintaining a "B" average, the availability of funds and the recommendation of the Law School administration. |
Nestor, Phillip Law Scholarship | A student of high academic standing will be selected to receive this endowed scholarship as selected by the Law School Scholarship Committee. |
Nolan, Daniel C. Law Scholarship | This is a non-renewable non-need based scholarship awarded at the discretion of the Law School Scholarship Committee. |
O'Neil, Eileen Scholarship | For outstanding student(s) enrolled in Creighton's School of Law. The School's Scholarship Committee shall select each year's recipient(s) and may be renewed at the discretion of the Law School. |
Omaha Law League Scholarship | Each year the CU Law School Dean shall select a student of high academic standing and who demonstrates financial need to receive this endowed scholarship. It may be renewed based on continued academic excellence and financial need at the discretion of the Dean. |
Peter, Carl J Scholarship | Through this generous gift one 3rd year student will receive the equivelent of a full tuition award along with a living allowance stipend. The recipient will be a practicing Catholic who received an undergraduate degree from an accredited Roman Catholic college/university. It is not renewable. |
Phi Delta Phi Award | This endowment provides a scholarship to an academically worthy Law School student as determined by the School. |
Pogge, Jack & Judy Law Scholarship | This endowment provides scholarship support to a student of high academic standing and who demonstrates financial need. The Scholarship Committee of the School shall annually select the recipient. |
Poverty Law Scholarship | This scholarship was created from the estate of Robert P. Heaney Family Fund to assist Law students who are participating in a poverty law externship. |
Raful, Lawrence & Dinah Scholarship | Named in honor of a former Law School Dean and seeded by Steve and Lisa Zaritsky, this scholarship recognizes a law student demonstrating academic excellence and financial need. |
Rasmussen N H Law Scholarship | Funded by John A Rasmussen Jr in honor of his gradfather, this scholarship recgonizes an outstanding law student who is in need of support to continue their education. Preference is given to third year law students. |
Reardon, Francis Scholarship | This endowment provides financial support to a Law student with excellent academic credentials. Preference is given to a student who has written a dissertation on legal ethics. The School of Law selects the recipient annually and also determines renewability. |
Rensch, Patrick & Mary Scholarship | This is a merit based endowed scholarship as selected by the Law School. |
Robinson, Judge Richard Scholarship | This endowment provides financial support to a first year law student who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need. |
Ryan, Francis Scholarship | This scholarship is given to those students who come from an economically and or educationally disadvantaged background and show the propensity for success in legal education. |
Santoni, Roland J. Law Scholarship | This award is for a senior class member of the School of Law who has an exemplary academic record and has received little to no prior scholarship support. The School of Law will select the recipient annually. |
Sekt, Allen A. Law Scholarship | The recipient shall be an academically qualified student who also has financial need. |
Sherman, Charles Scholarship | This scholarship rewards academic excellence in the class room as well as the financial demands placed on students studying law. |
Shkolnick, Rodney Scholarship | This scholarship honors a long time faculty member and former dean. Recipients will exhibit academic excellence and the potential to succeed in a law career. |
Smeltzer, Jacob & Katrina Scholarship (Law) | Needy students with high academic standing in the School of Law shall be considered for this scholarship fund. Awards may be renewed based upon available funds and continued academic progress. |
Smith, Hon. Walter H. Endowed Law Scholarship | This endowed scholarship was established by Walter J. Smith, J.D. in memory of his father, Hon. Walter H. Smith. Judge Smith was a CU alum (Ph.D 1935;J.D.). It provides tuition support for a 2nd or 3rd year Law School student who has shown sincere dedication to their education and demonstrates financial need. Additionally, the student's initiative, integrity and academic standing are also factors in the selection of the recipient(s). |
Sodoro, Emil F. JD'51 Memorial Endowed Scholarship | This scholarship was established in Mr. Sodoro's memory to assist a third year Law student who was not awarded any scholarship funds upon entering Law School and has shown dramatic improvement after the first year. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need. |

Strom Law Centennial Scholarship | Funded by the Honorable Lyle E and Regina Strom, this scholarship provides support to academically excelling students. Recipients are selected by the School's Scholarship Committee. |
Svoboda, David Law Scholarship | This is an endowed merit based scholarship awarded at the discretion of the Law school. |
Sykora, John & Eleanor Scholarship | This generous gift endows a scholarship fund to recognize a student who graduated in the top 5% of their undergraduate class. This gift was made in memory of their son, John, who graduated from the CU Law School. |
TePoel Law Scholarship | Funded from an endowed account, this scholarship recipient is chosen on the basis of academic achievement and potential for success in the legal profession. |
The Class of 1980 Deceased Classmates Memorial End | The spendable income shall be used annually for students entering their first year of law school, who are of high academic standing, or greater and who are able to demonstrate the need for financial aid in order to continue their education. These are renewable based upon recipient’s academic progress and the availability of funds. The School of Law scholarship selectin committee shall annually select the recipient and the amount of each award. |
The Jackson Lewis PC, LLC Scholar. in Employ. Law | Awarded to an L2-3 student with high academics and financial need. Preference is given to female students involved in the CU School of Law's Women's Law Society. Although not required, the recipient is expected to attend the Jackson Lewis Employment Law Symposium. This is a one year award and not necessarily renewable for future years. |
Vaske, Clayton & Arlene Schol | In honor of his parents for their support and encouragement while a student at the CU Law School, Mr. Ronald Vaske (JD '97) funds this annual gift to support a promising law student of high academic standing and who demonstrates financial need. |
Venteicher Law Scholarship | Endowed by George (JD '62) and Susan Venteicher, this fund provides 1/2 tuition awards to 2nd and/or 3rd year students who did not receive scholarship support upon entering CU's Law School. High academic achievement and financial need are primary considerations along with respect for the body of knowledge that makes up the study of Law as well as maintaining high moral and ethical standards. |
Welch, Eugene Scholarship | This award assists a thrid year student in Creighton's Law School who has financial need and has demonstrated high academic achievement. Named in honor of a Law School graduate, it is funded by Mrs. Jean Welch and several other donors. The Law School Scholarship Committee will name the recipient with a preference given to a married student. |
Werner-Robertson Scholarship | Ms Gail Werner-Robertson and her husband Scott Robertson endowed this scholarship to help provide the opportunity for a 3rd year student to realize his/her entrepreneurial goals. |
Whelan Scholarship (Law) | This is a non-need based scholarship awarded at the discretion of the Law School Scholarship Committee. It is in memory of John Whelan and funded by this wife's estate, Eugenia Marie Whelan. |
Zuercher, Rev John S.J. Memorial Scholarship | This scholarship memorializes a long time Creighton Jesuit priest by recognizing a 3rd year student who excells in the class room and demonstrates financial need. |
